They even think that essential oils have skin care properties and hence they are used in anti wrinkle creams. The truth, however, is that they are not connected in any manner. In fact, essential oils are not used in anti wrinkle skin care products at all. However, a lot of natural oils are used in organic skin care products. So, what is the difference between essential oils and these natural oils? How effective are these oils in treating wrinkles? Let us take a look. Essential oils are used mainly in aromatherapy. They are called essential oils as they carry the 'essence' or scent of the plant or flower that they are extracted from. They do not have any distinct skin care qualities and hence are not used in skin care products at all. So, like I already said, essential oils and wrinkles are not connected to each other at all. Now, let us take a look at the kind of oils used in skin care products and how effective they are in treating wrinkles and other skin related problems. The most important natural oils used in organic skin care products include olive oil, avocado oil, macadamia oil, grape seed oil, and jojoba oil. All these oils are completely natural and they have amazing skin care qualities. So, not surprisingly, they are used extensively in most of the organic skin care products. Now that we have dispelled the idea of any relation between essential oils and wrinkles, let us take a look at these natural oils and their skin care qualities. Avocado oil is rich in vitamin E and stimulates the production of collagen in your skin. Collagen is the substance that is responsible for the elasticity of your skin and by stimulating collagen production, avocado oil helps keep your skin young and firm. Jojoba oil is a wonderful moisturizer. It moisturizes dry skin and controls the sebum secretion in oily skin, thereby acting as a wonderful balancer. The most important thing about jojoba oil is that its shape is very similar to that of human sebum and hence it is well absorbed by the human skin without any reactions. While discussing the relation between essential oils and wrinkles, a lot of people think that jojoba oils are essential oils. But, they are not. Grapeseed oil is a very powerful antioxidant. It fights the free radicals in your skin and helps repair the damaged parts in your skin. It has moisturizing qualities and is also rich in vitamin E. Macadamia oil is a very effective antioxidant and is rich in palmitoleic acid, which is extremely good for your skin. It is akin to human sebum and can hydrate the skin pretty quickly and therefore is apt for dry skin treatment. Olive oil, as you all probably know, is one of the most important ingredients in organic skin care. Olive oil is a natural antioxidant and it has amazing moisturizing qualities. This apart, it is also used as a natural cleanser as it is very mild. Surprisingly, yet another oil in this list would be fish oil. Purified fish oil has good skin care qualities and is often used in organic skincare products. Fish oil is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, which are extremely good for your skin. They have amazing anti wrinkle properties. So, fish oil and wrinkles are connected this way. So, that is pretty much what you need to know about the oils used in anti wrinkle products. Just remember - fish oil and wrinkles are connected as fish oil is actually used in some organic skin care products. Essential oils, however, are not connected to wrinkles or anti wrinkle treatment in any manner. So, go for the right products, look out for the right ingredients, and get rid of your wrinkles.
